At Neelaya Banaras, we are committed to ensuring that every order is dispatched with care, precision, and transparency.
1. Order Categories
Orders placed with us may fall under one of the following categories:
ready stock orders
made-to-order orders
pre-order pieces
altered or customized orders
Shipping timelines may vary depending on the nature of the order.
2. Dispatch Timeline – India
For ready stock orders without any alteration, dispatch is usually initiated on the next working day after order confirmation.
Orders requiring alteration, customization, special finishing, made-to-order processing, or pre-order fulfilment may require additional time before dispatch.
3. Estimated Delivery Timeline – India
Once dispatched, estimated delivery timelines are as follows:
Tier 1 / major cities: approximately 3 days
Tier 2 / Tier 3 cities: approximately 5–6 days
These timelines are indicative in nature and may vary depending on courier operations, location, public holidays, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
4. International Shipping
Neelaya Banaras offers international shipping.
International delivery timelines shall vary depending on destination country, customs clearance timelines, courier operations, and local delivery conditions.
5. Duties, Taxes & Import Charges
For all international orders, any customs duties, import duties, local taxes, handling charges, or destination-country levies shall be borne entirely by the customer.
6. Payment Terms
We do not offer Cash on Delivery (COD) for domestic or international orders.
All orders must be prepaid in full at the time of purchase.
7. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping details, including the recipient name, address, pin code / zip code, phone number, and any other required delivery information.
Neelaya Banaras shall not be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the customer.
8. Delivery Delays
While we make every effort to ensure timely dispatch and delivery, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
courier delays
remote location servicing constraints
public holidays
weather-related disruptions
customs clearance delays for international shipments
Such delays shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or compensation.
9. Delivery Acceptance
Customers are requested to inspect the outer packaging at the time of delivery.
If the parcel appears tampered with, damaged, or compromised, the customer should record the condition immediately and contact us without delay.
10. Failed Delivery / Re-Shipping
If an order is returned due to failed delivery attempts, customer unavailability, refusal to accept delivery, incorrect shipping details, or incomplete contact information, the customer may be required to bear the re-shipping charges.
11. Split Shipments
In certain cases, orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately depending on stock availability, product readiness, packaging requirements, or logistical considerations.
12. Handcrafted Product Note
As many of our products are handcrafted and handloom-based, slight variations are a natural characteristic of the textile and shall not be treated as shipping damage or product defect.

Every product page clearly mentions the fabric and composition of the saree. Pure silk products are identified accordingly, and eligible pure silk sarees are accompanied by Silk Mark certification wherever applicable.
Eligible pure silk sarees are provided with Silk Mark certification wherever applicable, helping assure customers of the authenticity of the silk used.
Kaduwa is a traditional Banarasi weaving technique in which individual motifs are woven separately rather than using continuous floating threads across the reverse of the fabric. It requires significantly more skill and time and creates beautifully defined motifs.
SAREE DETAILS
Most sarees include a blouse piece unless specifically mentioned otherwise on the product page. Please refer to the individual product description before placing your order.
Measurements can differ slightly according to the weave and style. Exact dimensions, wherever necessary, are mentioned on the respective product page.
Where tassels are part of the original design, they may be included. Additional tassel-making services, if selected, may be treated as a customization or alteration.
Fall and pico services may be available for selected sarees. Once alteration or finishing services such as fall, pico or tassels are requested, the product becomes ineligible for return or exchange.
Certain products may allow limited customization depending on the weave, availability and nature of the request. Please contact our team before placing the order for confirmation.
